Great job site block plane
This plane is ready to shave right out of the box; the iron is sharp and the sole is flat. Make sure you know how to adjust a Japanese plane before you consider purchasing this to avoid damaging the body or iron. This plane is awesome for what it costs, so it gets 5 stars. Know, however, that for the best performance and finest of shavings, you will have to thoroughly tune up this plane. The mouth may need to be widened, the machine marks on the sole will need to be honed away, and the iron will need to be lapped, and bevel tuned up.
