We understand that in various circumstances, you may wish to return an item. The following information describes our online return policy. Placement of an order is an agreement to abide by this policy.
If the item is un-used, has its original packaging & accessories, & is in re-saleable condition, Hardwick & Sons will issue a refund within 45 days of purchase. If the item has been removed from its packaging & is un-used, a restocking fee of 15% will be deducted from the refund. We do not accept returns after 45 days of shipment of your initial order, with the exception of manufacturer’s defects (See manufacturer defects below). We only process returns on those items that have been purchased directly from our website. Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility.
Hardwick’s reserves the right to refuse returns & deny refunds for those items that have been misused or abused by the customer & we will not replace items that have experienced wear & tear by the customer. Returns that have been damaged while in transit due to improper packing by the customer will be the customer’s responsibility & will not be refunded.
In unusual circumstances, a product may contain a manufacturer’s defect. We apologize for this inconvenience. After inspecting the item & verifying the defect, we will gladly replace the item or issue a full refund within six months of shipment of your initial order. If you find a manufacturer’s defect after this six-month time period, you must deal directly with the manufacturer.
Our return policy does not guarantee power tools, which are subject to the manufacturer’s warranties, etc. Returns of these products require pre-approval from Hardwick & Sons, & will be attended to on a case-by-case basis. A returned power tool may be subject to a 5% restocking fee per power tool if approved. Customer pays return shipping charges.
Upon receipt of your return, Hardwick & Sons will determine the nature of your refund. If your return meets the standards described in the above policy. we will gladly issue you a refund.
Please note that Hardwick & Sons will not charge for the shipping label fee to return item(s) in the following cases:
- The order resulted in an error made by Hardwick & Sons
- The item contained a manufacturer’s defect
- The initial order was damaged in transit due to improper packing by Hardwick & Sons

Please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org & let us know which item(s) you would like to return & why. Do not return a item to us without authorization.
After reviewing your request, we will send you a return label via email.
Please package your return carefully! Any merchandise that is incomplete or damaged in return shipment is not eligible for refund.
Print the return label that was emailed to you & affix it to the front of the box.
Depending on your return label, take the package to a UPS shipping location or your local post office.
Do not return any item(s) to us without authorization
Once we receive your package, we will contact you via email with further information regarding your refund.
