Just what I needed to fix up an old door. Good quality

The door plate itself is quite thin, but seems to be genuine brass. The receptacle for the door knob and thumb turn are solid brass, which impressed me. However, the thumbturn itself is not yet attached and I spent a few minutes trying to hold it inside the door plate and insert the provided cotter pin. The pin itself was pinched too far together and i need pliers to expand it to place into the thumbturn. I thought that door know sizes were universal, but I found that the knob insert was about an eighth of an inch too small for my knobs to fit inside. I guess I won’t be being any more of these for my other door.

I originally bought one that was the wrong size from a different company not realizing there were differences. The one from Hardwick fit perfectly and works great! Hardwick’s will be the first place I look for new old hardware
