Onoyoshi pruners
These are the best pruners I’ve ever used. The spring is just the right tension for 70 year old hands and they are ambidextrous having uniformly shaped handles. Also the lock is more sturdily constructed than Japanese pruners I’ve had in the past. The only issue is I keep loosing them every few years. Love them and Hardwick’s. I’ve been shopping there since 1980. As a woodworker I’ve always felt like a kid in a candy store:)
Tobisho pruners
This is a second pair purchased as a gift for my son in law who is a landscaper. I’ve had a few pair of Japanese pruners over 30 years and these are the best so far. Number one, they haven’t gotten lost:). They are very well made and the clasp looks like it will last. As long as they’re sharpened, adjusted and oiled they are the best. They’re also ambidextrous, as am I. I wrapped the handles with orange parachute chord for comfort and visibility. Love them. And have loved Hardwick’s for 40 years. (Woodworker) Please don’t move:)
Keep loosing them
I’ve loved these for 20 years. This is my 3rd pair. Keep loosing them so I made an innovation. These are super for ambidextrous people.
