Specs

The "Scandinavian Forest Axe" is a professional axe made of the highest quality Swedish steel available. This beauty of an axe has a larger 3-1/2" head face & is excellent for felling larger trees & limbing felled trees. The axe is forged to a curved bit & sharpened, making it ideal for cutting into fresh resinous wood such as spruce or pine. The extra long hickory handle lends the axe great power when swung. Handle is 25" long, the head weighs 2-1/2 lb., & the axe includes a grain leather sheath.

Each axe head is hand-forged from special Swedish steel which is then honed, tempered, & annealed to the perfect hardness by the experienced Gränsfors Bruk Swedish smiths who stamp their initials on the head, creating a one-of-a-kind masterpiece you'll treasure for years to come.

Holy cow, great axe

Definitely a show piece, but also incredibly well built and sharp as heck. Fast shipping too. Careful on Amazon, lots of fake stuff around.

Best Forrest Axe

The Scandinavian Forrest Axe is the best axe on the market for general bushcraft and work around the farm. While this may not be the ultimate pack axe, I however would likely take this axe or the hunters axe with me on any overnight adventures. Great craftsmanship and the quality you can trust in Gränsfors Bruks. I own three of their axes and will likely purchase most of their collection.

Haven’t used yet but excellent!

Extremely well balanced, finish on the handle is superb, razor sharp, absolutely no defects seen so far and I don’t even feel it on the side of my pack when it’s on, the best thing is when I submitted my order it was packed and shipped within 20 minutes, that is outstanding
