  • The "Outdoor Axe" is a sleek axe designed by a Swedish survival expert & is excellent for a variety of outdoor uses! The 2-3/8" head face is made of the highest quality Swedish steel available. Although light, this axe may be used to fell small trees & limbs, due to it's relatively long handle & heavy elongated head. It is long enough for powerful chopping, yet still small enough to fit your pack! The axe has a steel collar guard for extra durability & sturdiness. It may also be used as a large bushcraft style knife! This versatile special axe weighs 1-1/4 lb. & includes a grain leather sheath.

       Each axe head is hand-forged from special Swedish steel which is then honed, tempered, & annealed to the perfect hardness by the experienced Gränsfors Bruk Swedish smiths who stamp their initials on the head, creating a one-of-a-kind masterpiece you'll treasure for years to come.

a favorite already

Axe shipped and arrived fast, unfortunately though, came with a small chip at the cutting edge. Nothing that couldn’t be fixed, but at the price point and with its reputation, it needs mentioning. this is a light, perfectly balanced axe that i use for sundry small tasks ranging from food preparation, making kindling to chopping off small branches. Handles nicely, easy to sharpen, holds an edge well.

Best camping axe made

Only had one opportunity to use the axe since purchase but it is packable and the perfect balance of weight to performance. Came super sharp and the handle diameter and length are truly spot on for choking up for fine work or holding at the end for more swing speed. Really is an awesome axe. Hardwick was just as awesome with fast shipping and quality service!!
