Excellent handles
I ordered two handles for my GB Scandinavian forest axe because I wanted to be able to pick the best one. They were both perfect handles. Actually better than the original that came on the axe. I don't think I've ever seen perfectly straight end grain and perfectly straight through the handle let alone on two handles. I still picked the one I liked best but I would have been happy with either one. Shipping was very quick and the packaging was good. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Hardwick & Sons again.

Installing it on an antique Granfors Bruk 2.25 lb axe head. The original one was dried out and chipped up. This should be perfect for many years to come. Thanks for the fast shipping as well. Will definitely be doing business with Hardwick and Sons in the future!

The wooden shafts are impregnated with warm linseed oil & beeswax, which increases the quality of the shafts.
