Great tool!

This tool works very well for removing old hardened window glazing putty. I had been using a chisel but this hacking knife works far better. I’m so glad I was able to find someone in the U.S. who sells it!

This is the baby brother of the larger version which I purchased recently. I liked that so much I decided to get the small one too. Same great quality in a smaller package.

  •   This hefty "chipping knife" is made by Crown Tools in Sheffield, England. The knife is also known as a hacking knife. It is a stout & heavy-duty knife that's great for use as a glazier knife for glazier's work, general hacking, or use as a lightweight froe & splitting small pieces of wood even. The blade is made from high carbon steel & is hardened & tempered. The back of the blade is exposed for hammering on, & rivets attach the thick solid blade to the leather handle.   Made in Sheffield, England.
