This well-made lock is formed of solid brass material with a durable pivot turn, unlike many basic sash locks out on the market today. The turn operates smoothly & will lock & tighten your windows securely in place. This traditional sash lock is designed in the early 20th century style of hardware, but will fit in with any time period up to the current modern styles. A very handsome & classic piece of hardware. Available in non-lacquered brass (the un-lacquered brass will patina over time), antique brass, lacquered brass, oil rubbed bronze, brushed nickel, & polished nickel finishes. Solid brass and excellent workmanship. Replaced old corroded steel sash locks during an extensive renovation project and added a classy tough to our 100+ year-old home. I liked the oiled bronze finish--so much that I ordered 27. Delivered to my home in Hawaii in less than 3 days!
