A special chamfer spokeshave made by Kunz Tools in Germany. There are two adjustable fences under the spokeshave handles for creating chamfers quickly & easily, up to 1-1/2" (38 mm) wide. The spokeshave has an adjustable screw which provides blade adjustment for the depth of cut & for the thickness of the shavings. The cutter blade is 1-1/2" (38 mm) wide with a 3/32" blade thickness. Note: Honing is recommended before use. -

Kenzie Chamfer Spokeshave No. 65
I am an old school woodworker and did all my chamfering based on laying it out. I would draw lines and start planing with a block plane or a number 3 plane. Purchasing the kunz No. 65 really streamlined the process. Set the desired size and bang it stop when reached. A quality tool and very satisfied with it.

The Kunz chamfer spokeshave was delivered in a timely manner, well packaged and in perfect condition. It took only a few minutes to flatten the back of the blade and hone it on diamond plates to razor sharp. I find that the spokeshave easily allows the creation of a very consistent 45 degree chamfer cut to a fixed depth on yellow pine. I have previously used a block plane to cut chamfers, but always found some inconsistency in depth or angle, particularly noticeable where two chamfers on different edges meet. With this spokeshave, the junction of two such chamfers is crisp.
