A quality veneer saw "Furnierschneider" made by Kunz Tools in Germany. The blade has teeth on both sides & a slightly oval shape. The teeth have no set on the saw, resulting in thin kerfs & gives precision flush cutting work, it is also excellent for sawing thin hardwoods. The handle is offset too which allows for clearance & leverage when using, & enables flush cutting with the surface. The special tooth pattern enables the user to make push & pull cuts, resulting in little tear-out when sawing. The handle is made of hardwood & has a nice feel in the hand. A great tool for trimming & flush sawing. Made in Germany.

Good quality, great price
It works as a veneer saw should, quick and clean.
Kunz Veneer Saw
The first thing I did was spend some time tuning up the blade of this saw. In chapter 6, Book 2 of Tage Frid's "Tage Frid Teaches Woodworking" book he has a two page article on how to tune up a veneer saw. Let's be honest. ANY new veneer saw you buy will need tuning. I followed his instructions and wound up with a saw that cuts beautifully. This tool is well made. I like the heft and overall quality of the tool-especially when you consider the price point! I've been shopping at Hardwick's since 1987. This was the first time I've ordered anything from them online. Great experience! The saw arrived nicely packaged 2 days later with a handwritten note on the receipt thanking me for supporting their family business. Happy to do so.
