My 2nd 39" Nishigaki Lopper
I am a fruit tree pruner and pruning teacher and this is my absolute favorite lopper. The piston action gives extra power with less effort and the metal of the blade rarely needs sharpening. I recommend it to all my clients and students. The only reason that I had to buy this second lopper was that a volunteer somehow bent the center rod and the piston inside. The lopper still cuts, but without the piston power which is the point of this design. I will try and straighten the rod in a vise to see if that helps. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
These are the best, especially for a smaller person…
These loppers are not easy to find but when helping my neighbor with some year work I used hers and had to get a pair for myself. I am 5’3” and these are the perfect size to allow me to reach further than regular loppers allow without the cumbersome length of long pruners. Additionally the design is also perfect for a smaller person, maximizing the cutting ability with leverage and without heavy weight or wide “wingspan”. I can get into tight spaces with them and can use them for as long as I want to work. Perfect for me!
The best lopping shears
These are the best compound lopping shears on the Market. They are hard to find. They come in 3 different lengths and the work great. I have two of these for 20 plus years and we use them a lot. Just bought two more from Hardwick & Son's and we will buy more. Try this product.
