Special Japanese compound action loppers designed to reach high & hard-to-reach areas. It is great for cutting thick branches, fruit trees / large plant pruning & general branch cutting up to 1" thick (27 mm). The compound action provides strong cutting power & extra leverage. The bypass blade is teflon coated for rust resistance & non-gumming effects. There is a hook on the back of the head to pull branches down after cutting. 24" overall length. "My precious!"
Most excellent, light weight, amazing action, lops up to around 30mm wood, strong steel, holds an edge but takes resharpening, replaceable blade. Long-lasting, solid-state design. As a professional garden pruner, this is my go-to pruning tool. I bought my first Nishigaki reach lopper (recommended by a certified arborist friend) from Hardwick's in 2016 when you were still in Seattle's U District. So glad to find Hardwick's again!

This Nishigaki 24" compound action lopper is perfect for pruning roses and other trees and shrubs where you need to maneuver into tight spaces. The blades are super sharp and the extra leverage made it easy to cut back dead wood on my guava and tangerine trees without straining or getting scratched by thorns. Don't bother buying cheaply made loppers -- this Nighigaki is worth the investment.

No strength needed, tremendous cutting power, easy to use because pretty short and light. I have had for 6 or 7 years and they barely show any sign of wear. Great product.
