A quality high carbon steel chisel made by Buck Bros. in the USA. The sharp chisel blade is made of drop forged high carbon steel & is hardened & tempered for strength & toughness. The chisels have reinforced steel-caps which enables one to use them with chisel mallets. The handles are made of acetate, making them tough & shatter-proof. The blade is tapered for balance, & the chisel overall has a nice feel in the hand. Made in USA.Buck Brothers is a pre-eminent name in the manufacture of edge & cutting tools. Buck Bros. was formed by John, Charles & Richard T. Buck in 1853 after emigrating from Sheffield, England. The brothers' goal was to provide quality edge & cutting tools made from premium material. My husband has been working with wood for 50 years. He has come to believe Buck chisels are the best. He likes the ones that have the metal 'button' at the end of the handle so he doesn't damage the handle when he taps it with a mallet.
