The "Bahco Twisted Splitting Wedge" is a specially designed wedge with a twisted shape & form. It makes a big difference especially when working deep into wood with a cross grain, or just with tough wood in general. Unlike many other simple regular wedges which will stall & get stuck at times, this wedge very rarely runs into that type of problem with it's special design. It has a 1-3/4" cutting edge & is made of high quality steel. A very durable & tough wedge!

The best wedge I have
This is the first wedge I reach for - it's long, has a fairly sharp edge (and therefore fairly easy to start without needing an existing crack/split), and the twist definitely helps break apart rounds.
