This chisel has a stiff thick blade for clearing out wood waste & has wide side edges that help keep the chisel square when working in the mortise. The chisel has a leather disc shock absorber to help absorb mallet blows. Large Hornbeam handles with steel ferrules around handle-ends for use with chisel mallets. Two Cherries Series 1305.
