The blade is made of stainless steel, & body is made of heavy duty aluminum construction & has a nice solid feel in the hand. The blade can be securely fixed in place with the locking screw at the bottom of the body. A great & handy tool for angle layouts & measurements. My husband wanted this EXACT gauge because it doesn't have anything in the way. He was very happy with it, and even showed me why it was so great and better than any other one. (I had already researched it, but it made him happy to show-n-tell!)

Found something I needed to start my hobby carpentry skills...a sliding T bevel gauge. Found Hardwick & Sons online and took a chance on them. Product was delivered on time...however a bit pricey imo. All in all I had a fantastic experience!
