This special pinch dog is made from the finest quality high carbon steel & is hardened & tempered for long lasting use. The square corners over the edges of the pinch dog make driving into material easy. This pinch dog is used by carpenters, cabinet makers, upholsters, & pattern makers as an all-purpose fastener as glueing clamps, column assembly, & jigging. United Statespoorly cut pinch dogs
I've used pinch dogs since first becoming an apprentice in the millwork trade back in 1973. Pinch dogs are suppose to have sharp pointed ends so the stab into and ********* the thd material you are pulling (pinching) together. These dogs came with over a 1/16" flat tip. I hvae to grind them to make them pointed and functional. Not the fault of Hadrwick & sons, but hopefully they will look into it.
