This is an underrated tool. The size and the shape are perfect. Fits well into the palm of one.s hand, the shaft is just the right length, and Osborne always uses good steels. I use this for scribing lines, prepunch holes in wood, a lot with leather work, etc. I wish Osborne offered a small version of a square tip awl like a bird cage awl.
