A traditional Northwest Native American style carving bent knife. The curved blade is incredibly razor-sharp on both edges, & it can be used with pushing & pulling strokes without needing to change positions. The comfortable handle is most frequently held palm up in one hand, but may also be used with both hands for extra leverage & control. A very special & excellent tool for carving! Made in the USA.
This forged Deep Bent Knife is shaped, beginning halfway up the blade, with a strong deep bent curve made approximately to a 1/2” radius. The carving knife blade is double-edged with a 1/16” thickness.

Good spoon-carver
I have had the knife a little over a week. I have used mostly Scandinavian hook knives to carve the bowls of spoons, so it was a little bit of an adjustment. Knife arrived sharp. Worked better than the hook knives I have used. I have left and right Mora 164s that combined are about the same price as this higher quality knife that cuts both ways. Strops easier as well. These NW style bent knives are held differently, so I am still getting used to that. I have carved 3 spoons, since I received it, with good results. Looks like the maker is semi-retiring soon, according to his web site, and will only be making certain knives, this one is listed as discontinued. I was happy I was able to find it at H&sons. Delivery was fast. Good price point. Overall, very happy with the purchase.
