They have a black (Japanned) finish on cast iron material for a nice & attractive look. The utility turn buttons style date from 19th century, but will fit in with any time period up to the current modern styles. Perfect Locks for our need
Needed turn locks for our greenhouse vents. These fit perfect and the cast iron makes them very durable.

Good, but the screws can be weak - they’re brass and the slot can strip - and after 5 months in the Seattle weather the buttons are starting to bleed rust.
