Not just for board thickness!
Used itto find if the numbered drill was close enough to 7/64th for the pilot holes
Very satisfied
The caliper is accurate and small enough to keep in my apron. Dial is easy to read. And no batteries to run out just when you need to use the tool! I prefer the analog dial because it’s easier to see how close you are to common measurements. Almost at 3/8, instead of a digital readout of 23/64 or 0.359.
Really nice sliding calipers
Not a bad little caliper for my needs, plus it came with a soft sided case.
I really like this caliper.
I bought one six or seven years ago and grew to depend on it. It's VERY handy to have in my apron pocket when I'm running the thickness planer or checking dados, comparing hole size to dowel size, making dowels, checking drill sizes, and a whole bunch of things I hadn't expected to use it for. When I realized how much I was using it I bought a spare. And now my original one with the cracked bezel and scratches has been either left at a job or purloined by a stranger, so I'm using my spare. The place I bought my first two isn't there any more. This looks like the only seller left who has it. I might even get another one just to make sure. There are a few other four inch verniers out there but this is the only one with US fractions. It's small, it's tough, and it's easily calibrated to dead on accurate. It's a joy to use. Sure wish it was easier to find.
Nice small calipers
Well made and sharp.
