A classic & vintage-style ring handle window casement latch made of high quality solid brass material. This latch is well made with a durable pivot turn, unlike many basic casement latches out on the market today. Comes with mortise & rim strike for multiple applications. Reversible for right hand or left hand applications. This traditional casement lock is designed in the early 20th century style of hardware, but will fit in with any time period up to the current modern styles. Available in non-lacquered brass (the un-lacquered brass will patina over time), oil rubbed bronze, brushed nickel, & polished nickel finishes.
Hardwick & Sons is pleased to offer vintage-style hardware for the many people who desire to fashion their homes with charm, quality, & style. Latches
They are perfect and identical to the original ones in my 1929 year old house. Thanks
Close, but not quite
I bought this to replace an antique window latch in my 100-year-old home. This piece looks nearly identical to the original. It is very well made. Unfortunately, the nub that fits into the slot (thus latching the window shut) is a little shorter than the original hardware, so in my case, did not reach far enough to latch. With that said, it is a very high-quality latch. If you're not after an exact match, this is a great piece!
Window hardware
Exact reproductions of our 110 year old window fasteners. Amazingly quick turnaround.
Nice hardware, quick shipping
Hardwick makes the nicest casement window latches. They are pretty, well priced, work well, and ship fast.
Casement (swing out) window latch
Very good. Items arrived promptly, and are of good quality. This latch was exactly what I needed because it latches further into the jamb (toward the room), permitting some clearance for a 1/4" kerf seal that butts to the sash. Also, the short cam portion of the ring permitted installation with a narrow vertical sash. Be careful with the long wood screws provided...they can crack the glass when installing the latch (I learned the hard way). I also suggest using oval head screws, rather than the flat topped screws provided...oval heads look more elegant. Jumpstart your patina by a quick dip in ammonia, then rinse.
