I recently restored a Duncan Phyfe-style table (3 pedestal, mahogany) that I found at a thrift shop for $50. It was a labor of love and a huge learning experience taking the natural mahogany wood up to a light-color. I got to the final stage of the project and was happy with the look of the wood but knew I needed to update the grungy, cheap, tin caps that came with the table. I finally found the Brass Clawfoot Toe Caps at Hardwick & Sons and they were exactly what I needed to put the finishing touch on my beautiful new table - they shipped expeditiously and the package even included a hand-written note from a Hardwick & Sons staff member. The new toe caps fit perfectly and the best way I can describe them is like 'putting jewelry on to complete the look!'
