This latch is well made with a durable pivot turn, unlike many basic casement latches out on the market today. Comes with mortise & rim strike for multiple applications. Reversible for right hand or left hand applications. This traditional casement lock is designed in the early 20th century style of hardware, but will fit in with any time period up to the current modern styles. Available in non-lacquered brass (the un-lacquered brass will patina over time), oil rubbed bronze, brushed nickel, & polished nickel finishes.

Casement (swing out) window latch

Very good. Items arrived promptly, and are of good quality. This latch was exactly what I needed because it latches further into the jamb (toward the room), permitting some clearance for a 1/4" kerf seal that butts to the sash. Also, the short cam portion of the ring permitted installation with a narrow vertical sash. Be careful with the long wood screws provided...they can crack the glass when installing the latch (I learned the hard way). I also suggest using oval head screws, rather than the flat topped screws provided...oval heads look more elegant. Jumpstart your patina by a quick dip in ammonia, then rinse.
