    Top Shelf Customer Service

    The sheath works great, but the real review here is about Hardwick’s customer service. I shopped Hardwick’s Seattle store for decades and was heartbroken when they closed. After a few years I tried their website and found that it was a nice transition from the old brick and mortar shop; not a lot of frills, just clear presentation of the items and easy ordering, like the former shop. I ordered this sheath thinking I had the 441 splitting hatchet which I had purchased at Hardwick’s years ago. When I the sheath arrived I found the strap was too short. I contacted Hardwick’s to figure out the issue and sent accompanying measurements and a photo of the my items. I heard back from Meghan almost immediately and she suggested I had a #442 hatchet. She solution was for me to order the proper sheath, and send back the incorrect one. She told me as soon as I ordered the correct one I would receive a pre-paid return shipping label and when they received the returned sheath my account would be credited. This is above and beyond service. I incorrectly ordered the wrong product but Hardwick’s made getting the right one super easy and absorbed the cost of the return. I look forward to many more decades of shopping with Hardwick’s!
