  • This Gränsfors Bruk straight replacement hickory handle is designed for the Long Splitting Axe No. 445 & Splitting Maul No. 450. The handle has an ergonomic design that gives a firm & comfortable grip. The wooden shafts are impregnated with warm linseed oil & beeswax, which increases the quality of the shafts. This Gränsfors Bruk replacement handle has a collar guard & includes a wooden wedge & a three-legged iron wedge.  *Note: Wood grain will vary from handle to handle. No exchanges based on grain configuration.

    Difficult to find-so I bought two

    Hard to find a halft that fits these, so much so that I bought two. We heat with wood, typically about ten cords a year. The Gränsfors Bruk #450 maul is indispensable for this, and has been for several decades. Thanks.
