These set screws work with traditional-style doorknobs that take threaded spindles. The thread size of the set screw is 28 TPI x 1/4" diameter width, which is a common thread size for holes on old-style door knobs. Great store! Timely delivery and good product for modern doorknobs. My glass doorknobs are almost 100 years old and the set screws were just a hair too large and wouldn't screw in. I bought a new glass doorknob that is larger than vintage one but blends in nicely.

Didn't work. Wasn't sure whether the set screw would work on this old antique door knob, the original set screw had finally stripped. Looked like the right size, decided to try it, but the screw didn't fit. No harm done, I had no other good options, and it wasn't expensive.

We bought the 1/4-32 x 5/16” set screws for our antique glass door handles. Unfortunately, they must need 5/16-32 x 5/16” set screws and these are not listed on Hardwick and Sons - or anywhere. No problem with the quality of the product delivered though.
