  •  A solid brass crescent thumb turn key with 3/16" square spindle shaft & oval plate with removable plug. Provides for emergency release for deadbolts, especially for the Classic Brass Interior Mortise Lock Set With Thumbturn  see here. Solid brass thumbturn is designed in the early 20th century style of hardware, but will fit in with any time period up to the current modern styles. Available in non-lacquered brass (the un-lacquered brass will patina over time), oil rubbed bronze, lacquered brass, & polished nickel finishes. Oval plate size:  1-3/4"  x  1-3/16".

    Perfect except for screws

    These are great and are exactly what I needed for the outside of our bathroom door. My only complaint is that I had to order new screws. These came with #5 5/8" oval slotted screws which were too long for our 1-3/8" thick doors - they were hitting the mortise lock box before they could go all the way in. I ended up ordering a pack of solid brass #5 1/2" oval slotted screws. Hopefully, this review helps someone else. I also had the same issue with the similar oval escutcheon.
