Crown Bradawl - has always been a favorite

I already owned one when I purchased this one - this has been a favorite of mine for years, the square blade awl is faster and more effective at hole boring in a range of materials for my needs. I love the shape, it fits into your palm allowing maximum torque, and is short for control. Being square, it holds a point longer / better. Just be careful when sharpening or touching up the edge - keep it square, or you'll have a round awl on your hands and if you're like me you already have plenty of those.
