Solid Brass Vintage Ice-Box Large Hinges

Hefty, large and solid brass. The casting was not ideal for my application which is as trunk hinges. The inexact molding prevented the hinge from closing more than 270 deg which is what I need for the chest. So I had to do a bunch of awkward filing to get them to work. Also, given this usage, the upper screw holes on the wide rear hinge half need to be lower, say 1.5" down from the center of the hinge pin, so that the screws will bite in to the trunk's rear wall. Hardware in brass for my application is hard to find. On another note, glad to see Hardwick & Sons survives. As a UW grad student in Seattle fifty years ago, I used to buy hardware and toasters at their picturesque compound in the U-District. It always had any and everything you really needed at a good price, you just had to poke around through everything. Sure miss establishments like this today. Good, practical memories; thanks.
